A man and a woman who have precisely the same occupation do get paid the same amount. The difference in earnings comes from the fact that, at this point in time, men have better jobs than women, largely because women just started joining the work force 50 years ago, and still aren’t as engrossed in it as men are. Since women going to college outnumber men, give it another decade, and you’ll see a big change.

I’m slightly surprised that amongst everything in this post that’s actually decently sound there’s that little bit of not so great advice. There’s nothing wrong with guys fucking around, absolutely nothing. BUT WAIT TUMBLR, THERE’S MORE. Before you throw an asinine tantrum at me for that and put another “I yelled at someone on the internet with my abominable farce of bullshit social justice” gold star on your fridge, let me finish. There’s also absolutely nothing wrong with girls fucking around either. There’s nothing wrong with ANYONE fucking around as long as you know, everyone involved is consenting, a legal age, not getting hurt (unless they like like that kinda stuff but again, consenting), etc etc.

With that said, I can’t really say I’ve despaired at being equated to a hopeless moron without a woman to help me not be an illiterate-at-life shitlord (possibly because I’m gay as sunshine on a rainy day) but the above post does make a good point. Sexism is by definition, prejudice or discrimination based on a person’s sex. Please do note that that does not say based on being a woman, or a man, or trans*, or whatever because (pay close attention to this part) you can be discriminatory against anyone and everyone. I can’t even fathom the double standards and stupidity that must fill someone’s head to think that sexism only works one way but as we’ve all come to learn, sex, gender and equality issues are a little more deep than that. And no, I’m not whining that I’m a poor, bullied man downtrodden by misandry because my life is actually pretty decent which I have quite a lot of gratitude for, but I am pointing out the ignorance and fallacies this mindset is rife with.

Equality doesn’t only happen when women are treated the same as men. It isn’t a pick and choose a la carte customized treat just for sanctimonious assholes. Being selective about what constitutes equality doesn’t make you any better than anyone else and certainly not more deserving of it because, here’s the kicker, everyone equally deserves equality. I know it might be hard to grasp that concept but the word is somewhat self explanatory in that regard. Get off your high horse because it’s a long beaten dead one and you’re not going anywhere. Humble yourself a bit. Humility knows no gender, race or sex and if everyone could act with a little bit more of it we might actually make meaningful strides towards the equality we all want rather than wasting time with petty squabbles on fucking tumblr

The tray in the main screen is just a wood wallpaper I photoshopped onto the Mist one with an inner shadow because I was too lazy to (figure out how to) make a UCCW skin zip of it. The battery level is the Circle Battery Widget and I use Ubermusic as my media player. Launcher = Hololauncher.

Just wow whoa WHOA.

For the longest time since the rumors started surfacing, to when the demo came out I was totally skeptical of the whole action/adventure aspects slowly creeping into the series. I thought the game would be watered down, boring and totally awful but nope nope nope it’s absolutely awesome. Yes the horror is pretty diluted compared to the first two games but I feel like the action/adventure (if you can REALLY call it that?) is actually done pretty well. Don’t get me wrong, it is very obvious that EA is trying a little too hard to expand the target audience for the game by packing every blockbuster smash hit theme they can into the game but I was into the story too much (and too infuriated at the Unitologists and necromorphs, I started out on hard mode) to really be bothered by it. While I didn’t go through the game feeling the solitary paranoia you get in the first game there is still plenty of pressure, anxiety and stress. The story (in my opinion, as is all of this obviously!) really adds to the series’ overall history and universe, you learn and see some really cool stuff! Some of it is gross and horrible, some of it is actually really pretty and wonderfully rendered, and some is just outlandish and cool. Overall it’s a fantastic game from a design perspective and it’s just plain fun to look at.

There are 19 chapters and in the latter ones you see what really lies beneath the surface of Tao Volantis, from there to the very end of the game everything is given an exciting and at times mysterious, otherworldly atmosphere, more so than in the previous games.

In regards to my previous uncertainty about the weapons and item crafting systems, once you get into the game and get used to it it’s actually pretty well done and DAMN can you make some awesome weapons (I played the last 1/3 of the game with a javelin gun/ripper combo that had the projectiles covered in acid, and a plasma cutter with a pneumatic blade that dealt temporary stasis with damage, they DESTROYED haha). Not super huge into the suit design in this game for the most part. I preferred the suits in DS2 but they get the job done.

This game comes down to your preferences. If you’re really only looking to be scared and nothing else, this game isn’t for you. The survival/horror aspects are diluted for sure compared to the first game. I think DS3 might be the deciding factor for who’s a really big DS fan and people just looking for horror games. If however you’re really into the lore of the series, I believe you’re really going to enjoy it. The scares and startles can at times be juvenile and jumpy and the sense of overshadowing horror and tension that was present in the first game isn’t really there as much but now that Isaac isn’t an errand boy all alone with no personality whatsoever I feel like that’s to be expected. I believe part of what made the first game so scary is with Isaac’s lack of personality it was easier to put yourself in his place and that immersion really lent to the horror. Now that he has his own personality you take more of a spectator position but honestly I think I prefer it. I’ve become pretty fond of the personality he’s developed since the first game.

Ultimately to really enjoy this game I think you need to step back and stop comparing it to the first game and expecting the same flavor of horror. Instead, try to look at it more as a freaking rad chapter from the same book, different pages but all part of a seriously great story in my eyes.

2 to 3 months is usually good for most people, it might just be that you’re at a smaller size but it’s important to listen to what your body is telling you. If you have to force it much, just wait. It doesn’t cost you anything but time to be patient, the cost of being IMPATIENT is a bit greater. I can leave my plugs and tunnels out for a few days and it’s no big deal but that’s because I’ve been at 1” for a few years now. It IS good to go “nude” and give your ears some fresh air, periods with your jewlery out help keep your lobes elastic and happy, just be careful you don’t let them shrink down to much.

Yeah so I'm gonna make this quick so I don't bother you much but I'm basically gonna say you've been a super huge inspiration in my life in multiple ways and honestly I'm downright terrified to even comment or say how rad it'd be to even talk to you sometimes despite you being close friends with a few of MY close friends just for a lot of really stupid personal reasons; and I just hope everything goes great for you and keep on doin' what you're doin'. My thoughts on ESG potentially moving to Vegas

~~If you’re not a furry ignore this lol~~. I’d rather do this than be limited to 140 characters on twitter so lemme just post this here. IT’S KINDA LONG BECAUSE I RAMBLE A LOT but I’m covering my own opinions and throwing those of a few other people in so yeaaaaah.

First off, I really feel like The Elliott’s Events are a Florida thing, their foundation was built upon FL residents, obviously an insane amount of the people that go are people from Florida etc, etc. We don’t really have much here that’s rad to go to, sure there’s the other 3 seasonal events but for a lot of people those are just a one night thing, you drive out, hang out for 8 or so hours then head home, of all the Elliott’s events. ESG is the only one that actually is like a con. Yeah, we have Megaplex but no offence to the people who run MP, it’s kind of nothing in comparison. ESG is like, THE Florida event (and honestly a lot of us wanted to try to hype it up to be THE East Coast event, or at least Rival AC and FWA) so taking it out of Florida just kinda feels like an indifferent whatever to everyone here. ESG is important to everyone in Florida because for a lot of us, it’s the only “con” we can afford to go to.

Second I’ve had people be like uh, there’s a ton of eastern cons to go to, AC, MFF, IFC, FCN, FWA (somewhat reasonable for FL peeps but still expensive), Megaplex (which again, isn’t really a substitute for ESG, like at all?) and uh hey just a reality check, I don’t know about everyone else here but excuse me I’m not really you know, made of money? Is it Carmi’s responsibility to cater to me being broke? No, not really, but there are a shitload of people that aren’t you know really super wealthy here? ESG is one of the FEW things a LOT of people can afford to go to so it’s incredibly alienating to just take that and move it away from them. Also I’ve had people ask me all “gosh well, don’t you appreciate what he’s done for you?” Uh, yeah? ESG is one of the best things I’ve ever gone to, one of the best times a LOT of people have had, no shit we appreciate that. I hype his events and try to get as many people to go as possible! Which kinda leads to…

Third, I’ve been told it’s to cater to the west coast which again, is kind of really stupid? They have RF, FC, Califur, etc and I’ve had multiple friends from the west coast agree that it’s asinine and straight up say they’re not gonna go and that they’d be pissed if it got moved west because they go to ESG to see friends from Florida. If it’s not there, there’s no sense in going to them. I’ve told tons of friends from all over the country, especially a lot of people from California to come hang at ESG and one of the main reasons they want to come is because of the people here. Move it away and that’s kinda not there.

Fourth, this is kinda a HUGE dick move considering people have made plans around this and now potentially have paid time off or even just days off from jobs in general to come to an event that might not even be here anymore, I have friends that now are thinking they’re gonna have to try to cancel their days off and either way, if it stayed the same or the date changed it’s really idiotic to have people have to fuck around with their jobs that much. This was only a few months away, it’s pretty damn sudden.

The pool and hotel are under renovation and they can’t guarantee it being done in time for ESG. Sooooo move it to a cheaper hotel and maybe bring back Wet N’ Wild instead of Disney or something? I dunno, I’d rather not swim and still be able to go than have it moved completely out of state just because the Hyatt and it’s pool are under renovation. I don’t even see how that begins to make sense as a reason? Also, what good does going to Vegas do for anyone under 21? This is a total “fuck you” to younger furries that would’ve wanted to go. What is there even to do outside the hotel in Vegas? Drink, gamble and go to strip clubs? Plus I’d imagine airfare to Vegas is astronomical.

I DUNNO, obviously none of this is official and a lot is rumor. Ultimately it is up to Carmi since he puts it on and they can do what they want, but I just feel like this is being done without any serious consideration to the community. Like I said, ESG is THE con for a LOT of people around here, we can’t afford to fly off to AC and blow a shitload of money there, or a lot of other cons for that matter. FWA is the next closest major event I try to go to and even that’s a stretch to do sometimes. I know it isn’t the Staff’s responsibility to give two shits about having a con around for people that can’t afford much else and cater to financial instability or in some cases irresponsibility (especially considering the other 3 events although they’re nothing like what ESG is), it’s not really their job to make everything work out perfectly for everyone.

Above all else I just feel like this just doesn’t make sense to do. What’s the point if it’s to cater to people in the west and they don’t want to come because it’s not here? Why take an event that means so much to the people here away from them you know? Let me be clear, I have a shitload of appreciation for what Carmi does, I’ve had some of the best times ever thanks to him and he’s given me one of the only big events I actually can afford to go to, same goes for a lot of people which is why I’m just thinking “I don’t even get this”.

I DUNNO. Just expressing my thoughts as well that those of a lot of others hoping maybe it’ll stay here but again, in the end, it’s Carmi’s thing so it’s his call. I’d just like to see this stay here.
